22nd Dec. night. X'mas party.
had a great time in Alicia's house. Haven't seen my cousins for a long time, esp Alicia(missed her lots). a time of bonding with my uncles and aunties. played sequence,and 2other board games which alicia brought from aust.
had great fun. the food was superb too.had turkey,honey baked ham,beef,sushi,black pepper and chilli crab.enjoyed the black pepper crab most.hehe.
i asked my uncle for wine. he gave me half a bottle and asked me to finish it. i exclaimed, 'what???' then i brought the red wine for everyone to taste. the wine was good. then my uncle opened another bottle.it wasn't as good as the first one.my uncle looked at my unfinished cup and said, 'don't drink this one, i give u another award winning one.' then he opened the third bottle.now this one's the best wine of the night. smooth and uh..tasty. not sour and bitter kind. my uncle kept pouring more wine into my cup, wanting to see how i'd look like when i'm drunk. stubbornly i told them i'd never get drunk, never!
so while playing board game my uncle gave me a whole plastic cup full of wine and asked me to finish it. by the time i finished it, was feeling dizzy and my face was blushing. haha but im not drunk. can still think clearly and play board game. so this is my first near drunk experience.
laughed and joked a lot that night. didn't want to leave when it was time to leave. to my cousins and family, i miss y'all a whole lot!!
25th Dec. Christmas Day.
Woo-hoo!! it's Christmas. woke up quite late at 11+am. quickly bathed after a short while with the computer. then off to the mrt station to.... somerset station(next to orchard)!!! was supposed to meet Tricia there.
After meeting my beloved cousin, we set off to our first shopping mall -- Takashimaya. We first had our lunch in Sushi Tei, then took pictures there. Now tricia had a $50 voucher in taka department store for her xmas, so we browsed around the department store. what with the branded and expensive clothing, we ended up not buying anything.
As i was watering in front of the orange julius shop, tricia suggested gelato - italian ice cream. debating in my mind whether to have my fave drink or delicious ice cream, i settled on ice cream. it's not everyday i get to eat gelato. (well, not orange julius too) i ordered belgium choc and macademia nut. was tasty!
so after that we shopped in orchard. fast forward to night. the lights were pretty at night. this year's blue. orchard road was closed. there was a parade so we took a walk on orchard road. i esp love the angels one. if i have time will post the pics. after that we went village, a restaurant, to have dessert--crepe with mango+passionfruit ice cream and berries; since both of use weren't hungry. enjoyed the atmosphere. and mostly, we enjoyed each other's company. totally enjoyed my christmas with her!
