tidiness and I

apparently my definition of neat is entirely different from my dad's or my stepmom's.
every time before they came into my room, I would tidy up as much as possible, making sure no papers, books are on the floor, my clothes are folded, my files and books are properly arranged.
the room is, for once in the whole week, at its neatest condition.
was feeling so proud of myself that i could be so neat until they came in and commented i shouldn't put my things all over the place... =.="
they're not actually all over the place, my things just occupy the space..get it?
well, their definition of tidiness is that everything must be kept inside (a container or sth) so that the area will look spacious.
and my stepmom said she should bring her maid one day to tidy up my room, again.
how neat can my room take?? or should i say how neat can phyllicia take??
oh wells, some ppl are perfectionist, everything must be in order and the place must look spacious; while some ppl - like me, things don't have to be in order, and spacious space made me think that i haven't fully utilised that area of space.
i prefer a little messy(BUT CLEAN) place to work in- only my humble little room can't take it so i have to tidy up once in a while.
oh and i'm thankful that they bought me clothes rack, container, dustbin, and water heater/dispenser.
my stepmom wanted to buy more racks to put my washing powder, etc, and a container with drawers to put all my food.
i think my little room just can't take it anymore. @.@
