i'm here to lament on my agonizing pain of writing arts essay after spending one LONG hr plus of writing a short 300 words of writing. i don't mind business or science essay, you either present your ideas forward cleverly, criticize on stuff, or write about science stuff - plain and straight forward. but when it comes to arts essay, oh my god. the damn points are freaking similar la. for example, the first forum question was, does the current crop of gazetted monuments play an effective role in representing Singapore? then the 2nd question, do monuments play an important role in nation building? it's about the same thing over and over again. how many times do i need to tell you that national monuments embodies historical value, linking present to past and thus evokes a sense of national pride, solidarity and identity?? the whole idea can be summarised in ONE sentence!! why do i have to go through the painful process of elaborating it? i know, it's about argueing, phrasing, making it sound so profound when it's only about common sense. goodness, the phrasing itself took me quite some time. argh.. gets me heated up. okay i'm glad that i managed to finish the very short essay of 300 words. *sigh of relief. thank goodness i'm not in arts.
okay that's a whole lot of complain. the above paragraph itself comprises of 220 words. sigh. alright gotta study my other subjects now. bye!
